Statement on the Approval of Rep. Danny Burgess

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—Attorney General Ashley Moody today released the following statement on the approval of Representative Danny Burgess as Executive Director for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs:

“Representative Burgess will be a great leader for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs. I know firsthand Representative Burgess’s passionate commitment to our veterans. During his time in the legislature, Representative Burgess was a strong advocate for our veterans and I know he will approach leadership of the Department of Veterans’ Affairs with the same enthusiasm.

“I want to thank him for his service in the U.S. Army and his time as a Judge Advocate General Officer. His experience in service as a lawyer and service member will allow us to work together addressing veterans’ issues in the court system.”
